QUILTING SERVICES

Being a piecer myself, I know how much care and time and effort you have put into your top. I promise to take good care of your quilt top. My studio is smoke-free and pet free. One of my favorite things is the opportunity to see new patterns and new fabrics.

When I receive your top, whether in person or by mail, we will discuss many things - quilting design, thread, batting and anything else that might be needed.

Quilting design refers to either Pantograph (edge to edge/all over) or Custom (free-motion/ruler work/stitch in the ditch/individual block and/or border treatments). [see pricing tab]. Machine basting for hand quilting is also available.

Thread – a variety of threads are offered from solids or variegated to monofilament or metallic. Additional thread changes are $1.00 each.

Batting – the filling to the quilt sandwich. I carry several types and can special order others.  You may provide your own – if it is quality batting and is compatible with longarm quilting. I reserve the right to refuse your batting.  Batting should be at least 10 inches wider and longer than your quilt top.

Miscellaneous – pressing, piecing the backing, squaring the backing, binding, etc. all are extra charges.

I do quilt on tops sent by mail. If you ship your quilt top and backing, please wrap them in a clear plastic bag for protection.  Also, use a box large enough to hold your finished quilt when it is returned to you. Otherwise the cost of a purchased box will be added to your shipping costs.
